I think I need a fortune cookie in my life. Minus the chinaman food. I just feel like my fortune would be out of this world if I read it today.
Dear Chuy,
Will you please deliver me a fortune cookie to Gantt. It doesn't even have to be on a silver platter. You can throw it at me like the paper man throws papers at driveways. I will greatly appreciate it. I promise to not throw darts at a life size poster of your body like that other midget did to you on the show the other night. Thank you very much.
Love,
Mallory

My Mother:
Most importantly - Godly
Beautiful
Kind Hearted
unselfish
talented
supportive
understanding
just so stinkin' lovely
My Dad, Sister and I got Mama a round trip to Michigan! And I'm kind of jealous.
Although.... I am hoping to get in my car and drive up there next week! Fingers crossed that it can work out? Oh yes. Allie has her dance recital and I can only imagine how adorable it will be.
My Sunday Lunch had a mad-yummy menu that looked like this:
Chicken N Dumplings.
Dirty Rice.
Broccoli and cheese casserole.
Boston Butt. (yes, with Grandad's homemade bbq sauce)
Baked Beans.
Broccoli Salad.
Bacon Dip.
Pickled Okra.
Desserts galore. And I'm sure I probably missed a few things that were prepared for lunch. My Memo is a spectacular cook. No really, it's no joke when I say spectacular.
We rode down to the pond.
Ziggy and Coby played hard core until we had a pit bull visit. I named him Beans.
I chugged a "lemon propel" to quench my thirst only to look up at a precious smiling Memo following my drink with "Was that the Wine?" And the answer was yes. Memo makes her own little wine coolers.
Good Mother's Day. I sure do love my Mama. ( and family )
Later that night we made our way to Andalusia for Ribs, baked potatoes and a salad. I did some serious eating yesterday needless to say.
Now off to make something happen in my life today.
I have a list stored in my brain with the title of "A Few New".
So it begins today.... and I'm trying to dust off some things in my life and even pledge them with the orange pledge that smells so good. Wish me luck, pretty please.

"Dang it Dang it Molly had to Hang it!"
Oh how I love a SURPRISE!!!!
Walking in our house yesterday after getting home from Birmingham was like the excitement I get when confetti is thrown in my face. Why? Because Mrs. Molly surprised me with my curtains all finished and hung and a tidy-up was even done around the house. I squealed like a little oink oink when I first walked inside! My mother and David knew about this little surprise treat the whole time! Mrs. Molly was so thoughtful to do this. She knows I have had a hard past week and been on the go non-stop.
I'm a little embarrassed that Mrs. Molly saw the mess we left the house in.
But....
I did notice a few things I bet she didn't think I would....
such as -
laundry left in dryer...she folds towels just like I do! =)
our utensil divider thingy was washed. Wasn't it? Had to be. It looked way clean somehow. Yes, I'm observant with random things.
The outside rug got a much needed face lift. So glad she turned it over now because it added the wa-bam that was needed! Much brighter is better! Why? Because it's SUMMER time!
She swept (a pile of Ziggy hair perhaps) downstairs!
And there is no telling what else was done that I haven't noticed just yet.... but for ALL that was done....
THANK YOU A MILLION!
I can't wait to show off the new curtains. I'll put my camera to work this afternoon and post some pictures, no worries!
That stunt called for a HAPPY DANCE a day earlier than the usual Friday one. Oh I guess I will do one again today anyway....
HAPPY DANCE HAPPY DANCE!
For my new curtains AND.....
HAPPY GRADUATION DAY, CELESTE!
Congrats!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday. I might just sneak off to Orange Beach to jam with the great Widespread Panic tonight....why not??!!

Eric couldn't have said it any better.... this was his facebook status on Saturday.
"I wanted to let everyone know that this morning at 9:15am the Good Lord has called my father home to be in his presence, his passing was very peaceful and he was surrounded by his loving family. Jesus said he would prepare a place for us that is free from pain and suffering, and that is where my father has gone, he is now running through fields of Grace."
"I say this to my Dad you have run the race, you have finished the race, and you have kept the faith, and for that we are grateful. The world will be less of a place without you but Heaven will be better because of you. I thank everyone for their prayers and support and ask that continue to keep us in your prayers as we seek to understand God in these trying times. May God Bless each and every one of you"
Please continue to pray for comfort for my family. I'm heading back down to Ft. Walton for another sad day. Life is just to darn short.

Yo! About me cleaning out the pantry.....
I think I broke my elbow.
No, not my funny bone because I'm not laughing and you better not be either.
Who smacks a transfer truck size load of pain into an elbow when simply cleaning out a pantry?
Apparently I do. And it stinks. I know the boyfriend is probably tired of hearing me complain so I thought I'd do so here.

our sunday best.
after church we had lunch at the country club.
crusted tilapia. rice. and green beans.
yep. yummy.
a trip to movie gallery for a sunday funday movie turned into a pointless one.
the ac was broke and it was too hot for me to think in that place.
cleaning out the pantry sounds more fun anyway. right?
love,
m
