Wanee was wonderful.
I return home and I'm sick. Running fever and such.
So, I will have to share pictures and stories when my head isn't pounding and my brain isn't screaming at me saying "shut your eyes"!!
Oh how I hate being sicky-poo.
I need a sprite in my life.

THERE IS SO MUCH MORE PACKING I HAVE TO DO.....
Getting prepared for a weekend music festival where we are camping in a tent is totally different from packing for a trip where we are staying indoors....
We set the tent up last night to make sure all the pieces were together and then cleaned the tent up....
Thanks so much Molly and Jimmy for letting us borrow the tent! Oh and also for the yummy supper!
wish
me
luck
with
the
remainer
of
packing.
I've got to stay focused for the 2nd addition of the packing party in my life.... perhaps, without a paint spill?!

Have I ever told anyone that my life is a beautiful mess?
Well, to say the least - it is.
A perfect example....
So I'm packing away and organizing my little heart out for our trip this weekend. (Which, by the way I think I have talked the boy-frand into leaving tomorrow) We thought about taking our tiki torches. I opened the "junk" closet to get the oil for them only to find that when I had put the white paint up last week I did so UPSIDE down. Yep, that's right.... I'm sure you guessed it. I also didn't hammer that joker shut enough to keep the upside down (expensive!!!!) paint closed in tight. Cool. I debated on even telling David until I realized that I had it all over me and one of my favorite tee's that he gave me so that was pretty much the giver- fess up about the spill!
Well, to say the least - it is.
A perfect example....
That small hole to the left of the can is where I picked the tiki torch fluid up.... yet somehow I didn't notice the white disaster until I thought my hands were "sticky" and looked down to see white paint....
EVERYWHERE!
So much for packing for Wannee at a decent hour.
I'm way to frugal and have freaked out since I purchased this paint like two weeks ago for it to go to waste.
So, what am I doing?
Ummm....
Painting any little doo-dad I can find around here WHITE!
Before you think I am totally nuts, let me explain.
There IS a bedroom upstairs that I was already in the process of decorating in all white....
Well, lucky me! That's where the white mess is.
Imagine this...
I'm bringing random things into that room trying to rescue as much of the spill before I clean it up.
So far I have de-colored about five items.
Anyway, just thought I would share.
Unfortunately I am slam out of things to paint at this point so it's time to attempt the cleaning process.

Knock, Knock.
I have a front door in the need of some summer lovin'!
My brainstorm begins now....
And I can't get reindeer moss on a rectangle shaped wreath out of my head.
The problem- I want something wa-bam and bright. Something that screams hello, sunshine! BUT, yellow isn't really the main color I'd like to use. I love front doors that show a little splash of your personality to anyone who drives by. To all the craycray friends of mine, geeks and party people - HELP ME come up with something fantastic.

So about the original plans on leaving Thursday....

It WOULD be so much more like my personality to just head on out a day early without planning it. Can we pretend that I never mentioned leaving tomorrow and live by Nike's motto.... and JUST DO IT?!!!
If it were up to me, I'd vote yes.
Just saying.
Either way tonight we have alot of preparing to do before the fun weekend begins!

"hike up your skirt a little more and show the world to me"
You were always so good to follow the footprints in the sand while at the same time you joined my gypsie soul and went along for quite an adventure.
Hey Amy, thanks for still claiming me as a friend when at the end of the night I looked like this.
Thank you for brightening my life.
I love the spur-of-the-moment in you. Glad you were ready to ride to Gatlinburg an hour after I asked you and an hour before I left.
If I was a turtle you'd be holding my shell because I would have lost it somewhere along the way.
Oh where to begin on the roomie adventure we shared in Destin, Florida....
"What day is it Mom?"
(for once I know the answer to that question)
It's YOUR BIRTHDAY!
HAPPY DANCE! It's your birthday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Amy! You deserve a day filled with love and laughter. I miss you and can't wait to see you soon.

Back from Pensacola Beach, Happy Monday!
Our weekend was sunny and funny!
It was more than tempting to stay for a few extra days and ride Paul's boat over to New Orleans just to have it running before he goes back to Africa.... but because of Wanee this coming week-end it was best that we are back here in this little town on this little Monday doing the same ole' routine. We picked Ziggy up at my parents yesterday and stayed for dinner. Oh and might I give you an update on how Ziggy behaved during her visit to the grandparents? -Dad looked out to see Ziggy just chillin in our fish pond. Drinking the water. Ummmm, I told you in a previous post she doesn't like clean water. The fish pond is right by the pool basically and like always, we have an extremely clean and kept-up pool year round. She totally chose the dirty water.... Mama said, "Ziggy GET OUT of the fish pond" And with that sweet innocent look she jumped out! Ziggy is over the front yard parties that she used to have daily and now into the back yard. She pulled off all the cushion on the patio furniture and moved them on the sidewalk right where she wanted them. What can I say? Maybe she wanted to sun bath comfortably? Who knows. BUT THE GOOD NEWS- that is all the stories Mama shared with me so I would consider that angel status for her weekend. I mean obviously, because Ziggy was sent home with a new collar AND treats.
Sitting out back by the pool at my parents house while Dad has something on the grill is a huge "hellllooooo summer" to me. It was a beautiful afternoon. You know, the ones when you absolutely HATE leaving the beach. Dad grilled chicken, had field peas and some kind of cajun like rice stuff. No surprise, supper was yummy. Mama sent a goodie bag home with me and some plants (which I can't thank her for because it's bad luck) I hope to plant some today if theweather pooch allows me!

i do believe david got his "old man pants" nickname from me when he secretly got his feelings hurt when birds never came to our feeder that we have had out for several months now. so mama brought us a hummingbird feeder and a few days after we put it up the bottom fell out and of course, so did the sugar water.... which by the way, was colored thanks to red sprinkles instead of food coloring. hey, you have got to make do with what you have in the pantry when the closest "store" around you charges an arm and a leg for something teeny tiny. (Yes Gator Grocery, I'm talking about you guys) Anyway, back to the hummingbird feeder spill. David was planning on pressure washing the porch so we didn't fill the feeder back up at the time. Well, our luck- that day a little squirt hummingbird CAME. CHECKED OUT OUR FEEDER WITH NOT A DROP OF FOOD and.... sadly flew away. It was the first one we had seen, too. So of course I get all sad thinking we are terrible people for having a feeder with ZERO food and those little twirps come ALL THE WAY from somewhere in SOUTH AMERICA and they find an empty feeder. I want to be like my parents and grandparents and in some kind of non-freak-of-nature way spoil our birds. True story. I do. So I shared the sad story at Easter to my family and I was told "that was the scout bird so you guys probably won't have anymore come this year" Devistated, I just knew that couldn't be true. Surely there was more than just one scout?! And surely they were only joking about that because they knew it was somewhat odd to find me so into this new hobby sort of thing. It was like nothing I have ever had interest in before. Birds?! Are you kidding?! In fact, all throughout highschool I was SCARED of birds. I had this fear that if a bird didn't like you or got mad at something it could come down, peck a hole in your head and fly above you in a na-na-na-nah-boo-booo kind of way laughing at the hole in your head.... OR- the shit poop on your shoulder.
ANY. WAY. geez.
I just realized that I've shared lots of "sweet nothings" in this post and need to get to the point and SHUT IT and get loaded up for Troy.
GUESS WHAT? GUESS WHAT?
(this is the point of all that rambling above)
i finally saw a cute little hummingbird eating out of our feeder this morning.
Boo-Ya! If there even is such as a hummingbird scout... our scout had faith that we were only temporarily out of food. And knew that throughout the remainder of the time they are flapping those tiny little wings 99 times per second that WE ARE GOING TO SPOIL THEM. And always keep the red sprinkles, water and sugar filled for them!
