Last night, heaven welcomed two beautiful people.
Brittany and Shep. A mother and son.
Dear Lord, please place your arms around Clint. Give him the strength that only you can give him. Comfort him today and all the days to come.
Brittany was a sorority sister of mine. She was a beautiful girl who knew exactly what she wanted out of life. She loved more than anything being a mother and a wife. She is now in heaven holding her beautiful little boy watching over us all. Life is just way too short.
Marley and I made Brittany a bible cover last week and I told her yesterday morning that I would bring it by to her.... She said she would be home after 5:00. Her life was taken at 5:15 on impact. Oh, how uncertain things are. Don't make plans. Love as hard as you can. Surround yourself with beauty. Pray. Be thankful for every single day you are given on this earth. That is one thing Brittany did. She was a wonderful Mom and Wife. She truly cherished the 14 months she had being Shep's mommy. Brittany and Clint's anniversary is in a week. She really knew how to show the love she had for her husband.
I am still in so much shock. With such a heavy heart. I know we are taught to not ask why.... but that is hard. Very hard. I am going to spend my day praying. Because that is about all I can do. If you will, please say a prayer for the Sheppard's and Pugh's.
Especially Clint.... his whole entire world was taken away from him last night in a blink of an eye. His wife and son. His everything.
Cherish every second you have with the people you love.
