Sigh.
I want a romper. And I can't find the perfect one. I guess I'm going to have to sew me one or two... maybe even three or four! I have more fabric than I know what to do with! I'm going to get on that project asap.
So.....

Dear Marley,
Come to Gantt and bring my huge tub full of fabrics and your sewing machine. And off to work we will go! Oh and bring me a surprise..... perhaps that gazebo chest,  abandoned house chair and red table. Because I said so. And I heart you.

Love,
m
Oooooh I just got a wiff (outside) of the scent THESE things give off.... Crazy huh.

I wouldn't mind having some of them in my life right now. I think it's been too long since I last pulled off every top and smelled... sniffed..... and smelled some more!

Until then, I will at least wear bright colors and get out there on the highway and maybe...

just maybe....

DO A HAPPY DANCE!!

Join me if you will please. It will burn calories. AND- bring a smile to yo' face.

Some days I feel like dreaming is the only thing I can do right.

Thank goodness I dream like a champ. And every single night.

It's been a sad week. Hospice is with my Uncle Paul and they have given him only a small amount of time left here with us. I went to Ft. Walton last night and didn't get back to Gantt until after midnight. I'm trying to get things together this afternoon and decide when I need to head back down that way. Uncle Paul has impacted lives of children throughout his teaching and coaching career. I know it's going to be hard on the entire Meig's school and of course, our family. Please continue to pray for comfort through this difficult time. And for all of you that have called/texted/prayed/emailed... thank you so much. It means more than you know.

Tiger Mountain Peasant Song - Fleet Foxes

This song has so much emotion.

And if you are in any kind of music mood (how could you not be) then listen to it.

See that car by the road? That's the yard man for the day.
I think I even hear a weed eater or something up close to the house. I'm scared to look out the window. Oh no. My poor little plants that are not cooperating and blooming yet. I hope they aren't getting trampled.

Please don't let his lawn mower mess up in our yard. I would feel some intense guilt.

love,
m
There was that one time Daddy let me on a lawn mower (brand new one might I add) I ran over a stump and messed up something on the underside. I've had a fear since that incident and never really wanted to get back on one of those things. It all started with the turtle and rabbit button that sparked my interest anyway....

The people who know me very well will appreciate this story. It is similiar to me driving down to Gator Grocery to get a random man to pull a tick off Ziggy because I was scared.....
alot like me pouting to the mechanics in Destin for two new tires because I chose to spend my money (not so wisely) shopping and then realized how bad I needed new tires after my shopping spree. And yes, I walked away with two new tires. Fo' Free.
Gah.... these stories have to stop now because they could go on for entirely too long and some might be more than you can handle.

BEFORE YOU STROKE OUT MAMA - I am now safe and inside with the doors locked. (obviously b/c I'm blogging about it)

I walked outside after hearing Ziggy Boo barking like crazy. There was an old car pulling a trailor with a lawn mower. (yes, I said car) Perfect. The driver got out and tried to make friends with Ziggy. He looked like a good ole' nice country man that would knock out the tall grass in no time if I asked him nicely. I asked. He said sure. BINGO!  As I was walking inside he shouted at me "Hey, what about the back yard?" Ha! Most of you don't know but our back yard is like woods... with a trail to the lake.... and trees everywhere. No grass. I should have suggested he go on a snake hunt and make them all go away! Geez I have GOT to get over that fear just a little bit living out here. We are living on the water AND out in the "wild" as prissy Allie Adams says when she is at Memo and Grandad's. Anywho, yay for cut grass!

i love the color green.
i love when i get text messages from old friends.
i like windy days when my hair is long.
i hate when im smiling at someone and they are smiling back just not at me... at someone behind me.
i like how i convince myself that fortune cookies are always telling me some kind of truth.
i think cancer is the most awful thing ever.

please. please. please.
do this for me.
say a prayer right this second.

I had a very bad dream last night!
Well, more like a nightmare.

Feel sorry for me because those type things freak me out more than monsters.

there is only a 4% filter from my brain to blog.

the bloggity blog part of my day is very therapeutic for me.

i write what i'm feeling. and it's nearly almost random.

sometimes makes no sense.

sometimes makes me laugh.... and only me laugh.

sometimes it makes others laugh when i think its pure stupid.

but to those who do read what i write - thank you.

whether you read once a month or twice a day.

whether you comment or read quietly.

whether you "follow" my bloggy or secretly stalk.

i like it all.

and i appreciate you.

I love these girls!

Ziggy napping in Emme's lap and dreaming of having a "pappy" just like her new friend.

My "child" is not going to dare let Emme get more attention than her.

Memo is in heaven.

Memo knows how to fill bellies! She has never let me down!

It was a great afternoon. Emme and Chelsea made their first trip out to see me in Gantt. The little one slept through that whole stay so they will have to come back ASAP to try that again.
We putted along to another town for some Memo and Grandad lovin', peanut butter cookies and homemade soup to-go.

Now, if only my handsome one will get to feeling better.
Good Nighty!

Oh grand plans for today!
Chelsea and Emme are meeting me in Luverne today so the little nugget can meet her "Memo and Grandad"!
They are so excited, I just know!

Do you want to know  the single most unpleasant thing I have felt in the past couple of days?
THIS NASTY COUGH THAT I HAVE.
Umm.... eww. Please go away.

Pretty Please take time to say a prayer for my Uncle Paul and Aunt Harriet.

The boyfriend is sick.... I hope he feels much better tomorrow than he did all day today.

All together we had a fun weekend. I got to spend some much needed time with Chelsea and Emme by the pool Friday afternoon.

Also, more much needed time included hanging with the sister on Friday night.
David and Mel grilled burgers last night.

Oh and you best believe that I helped out, too!

Following the tummy fill-up we all three went to our favorite little honky tonk. I am thrilled to tell you that I have a nice little 4+ minute video of Mel and David putting on one heck of a performance singing "Picture" by Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow. It included role play and all! I truly hate anyone had to miss that.

Did YOU soak up any sunshine this weekend?
I sure couldn't turn it down!!

I hope everyone has a Merry Monday tomorrow!

oh yes i did.

Shhhhhhh......

Don't tell David what happens when he goes to work.
And hey, don't fuss at me for allowing it... I totally put a towel down for protection!

HAPPY DANCE IT'S FRIDAY!
LETS GET CRAY-CRAY!

Oh- notice the curtains. Thanks, Mrs. Molly for all your help! I'm going to Troy today to get the last set.... And I'll say a prayer that we did a correct count on all those darn little tabs before we start with the last two! =) Annnnnd- notice the yellow paint. Welp, it went bye bye as of yesterday. Hooray! I love the new color choice I just need a ladder to finish up a few areas! Today is not a painting day, though. I'm not feeling it. I'm about to head to Troy to love on this beautiful little angel...

All the pictures of Emme are wonderfully done by Candace Nelson.

There was a slight hiccup in my plan on going to bed super early tonight....

IF....

If I were a month, I’d be July (In a state other than Alabama).

If I were a day of the week, I’d be Saturday.

If I were a time of day, I’d be sunset.

If I were a planet, I’d be Jupiter.

If I were a sea animal, I’d be an starfish.

If I were a direction, I’d be west.

If I were a piece of furniture, I’d be a a cozy bed.

If I were a liquid, I’d be a redbull.

If I were a gemstone, I’d be a black diamond.

If I were a tree, I’d be a dogwood.

If I were a tool, I’d be hammer-time.

If I were a flower, I’d be a tulip.

If I were a kind of weather, I’d be a sunny day.

If I were a musical instrument, I’d be a violen.

If I were a color, I’d be green.

If I were an emotion, I’d be undecided.

If I were a fruit, I’d be a frozen grape.

If I were a sound, I’d be bongos.

If I were an element, I’d be oxygen.

If I were a car, I’d be an Land Rover.

If I were a food, I’d be a dill pickle.

If I were a place, I’d be a popular pier.

If I were a material, I’d be silk.

If I were a taste, I’d taste like a fruit loop.

If I were a scent, I’d be baby lotion.

If I were an animal, I’d be a monkey.

If I were an object, I’d be a big bag of confetti.

If I were a body part, I’d be lips.

If I were a facial expression, I’d be tender eyes.

If I were a song, I’d be one that filled you with emotion.

Just so you know the pandora radio station for gin blossoms is awesome.

CRANK IT NOW!

I just sat my patootie down for the first time today.
Seriously.
Well, that is..... the first time minus sitting for that delicious lunch I had at The Charter House.
I painted upstairs. ( story. of. my. life. here. lately. huh. )
No, it's not a profession. Just an obsession sorta thing.
My brain almost tells me it's way past tired to even think and type.
But, I'm going to try making sense with a couple of things....

So, here goes....
Back to Wanee. Might I try giving you a description....(easier said than done) I will save the remainder of pictures for a spontaneous post when you least expect it.... perhaps two months from now!

IN A NUTSHELL-
It was a sight to behold.
The drum circles beating a steady rhythm were constant after the concerts ended and continued on through the remainder of the night until daylight..... all of this took place right across from our tent. Which I loved that because bongos are one of my favorite sounds. Not to mention it was all taking place around one of my favorite sights... a good campfire.
The weekend was filled with character everywhere.
Dreadlocked girls with hula hoops dancing along.
We experienced a festival filled with wonderful music.
Smiles surrounding you the entire time.
The four days were full force and with no complaints.... other than the porta-potty situation!

David and I both are already speaking of NEXT YEAR!

HAPPY EARTH DAY, MY FRIENDS!

WELCOME TO A COUNTRY BUMPKIN HANGOUT GAS STATION....yes, here in Ala-Bam.

P.S. The old men hanging around these type stores might creep you out BUT here's what makes it worth the stop.... THEY HAVE THE COLDEST BEER. Always! Think about it....

Hey, you never know.... maybe they are hiring. I think I could handle giving "hairguts" to these people.

Butt's up guys? I was caught bread handed this morning eating hamburger buns.
Hope you all have a great Thursday.

LET ME SHOWER YOU WITH SOME LYRICS TODAY....
(If I were a blogger-pro I would allow you to even hear the song from my page.... but I'm not there yet)

"No one said it would be easy
Sometimes it is hard to do
It isn't like the TV
You see the cold hard truth
And the things you see in movies
Just don't come true
So here's a little feedback
You gotta wear your shoes"

THEM SHOES
-Patrick Sweany

So to all my friends, family or stalkers who care - From me to you - HANG IN THERE!
If there is something big or small face it with some kind of smile and wear your shoes! Some are comfy and others are not... alot like situations we are faced with in life. No one said it would be easy....

I lucked up with a great find last week at "Thrift Town" in Andalusia. It is a wine rack table type thing. AND oh my golly am I not a little upset about something. That little wino-rack needed a little TLC.... a paint job that is. You would know that I planned on painting it WHITE and then giving it a distressed look.... who cares about the finishing touch, right?! My point is I GOT SO flipp-flopped when I discovered the white pricey paint turned upside down that I didn't even think to paint that thing. Instead I picked up baskets and frames and yea yea you get the drift..... nothing got painted with prior intentions of painting them white. I think now the wine rack needs to be two things:

1) FULL OF EXPENSIVE WINES

2) PAINTED A COLOR OTHER THAN WHITE!

Hellloooooooo Mallory's Brain - Please Return! She needs you terribly.

love,
Wanee, Baby!
Don't be jealous.... just get pumped and go next year!

Ziggy wanted to go to Wanee, too!

And we are off.... heading in Wanee-Ville direction!

( finally....  after I tracked down my I.D. and we made 22 stops around the city of Troy )

A good thing to have? TICKETS!

( this was what I gave the boyfriend for Valentine's Day.... he deserved this and more becuase he's pretty darn sweet to me... you know - the cheese to my macaroni kind of deserving! )

It's Wednesday night and we are feeling alright....

Wanee or not.... HERE WE COME!

I SEE what's shakin' on shakedown street... do you?

I spy.... the boyfriends initials.

This is no 5 star but it's going to be close when I'm finished..

Old school.... gets the job done!

(personal) Chef Boy D.C.

See... I told you it was as close to five-star as possible in the woods!

Walking to the Suwanee River.... which is the color of COFFEE might I add...

Our gang - Day 2 for David and I and Day 1 for Ginny and Bryant.

Oh - the fear of mine!

Can you tell I am extremely relieved to be outta that monster! And will you pat me on the back in the blog world for using these an entire weekend plus a couple days!

Another day another (five) dollar (beer)....

Friday Fun - please don't drain us Sun.... we need energy! Well, the old man pants does anyway! =)

"Havin' a good time!"

Did I ever tell you that I have the cutest boyfriend? Well, I do. Hands down.

Oh and... he's fun too!

Lookie lookie - I have a "Wanee Rock" but it's not for sale!

The Girlies.

OKAY.... there is one million more to add to the festivities from Wanee. So, please allow me to make this an all afternoon or possibly two day project. I'm getting antsy and so is my pooch. She is ready to get out in the sun. I've been sick so the sun won't have my time for long today, unfortunately. I'll be back for more, yo!
