Happy Hump Day!

Last night- I slept sweetly.

Outside- It's gorgeous.

Today- I'm feeling MUCH better.

Pleased to say- As of lunchtime today, Ziggy only brought 2 things (both belonged to her) in the front yard for the entire neighborhood to see.

Tomorrow- I leave for West Palm.

Fancy- Pretending that I can play the guitar better than the big timers.

Monday- I have a seminar at school.

My throat- is no longer hurting but wants me to treat it to a sonic slush.

Song of the Day- Vacation

Love- the excitement my child (Ziggy) gets when she sees me for the first time all day.

Anticipation- The Weekend!

What's up? My name is Jacob. In order to keep the little ladies coming my way I need a haircut. Just a trim though, please maam. I've got dates scheduled (in fact I'm booked way past Valentine's Day) so I need to be squeezed... Squeezed in your apt. book that is. ;) So Mal, if you can help me out I'll even consider taking you out on a nice little date.
YOU GOT IT, STUD! =)

No fun....

I'm sicky-poo and so over it. If I had it my way I'd be full force and back in the ballgame. Until then, I will enjoy being pampered ( I have a great doctor ) and hope that things will be a speedy recovery. Bye Bye blues hello new shoes.... that's what I'm awaiting.. =-/

Mullet Madness

Atmore sent me home with a $117 and a picture with this sweetie. Her words to me were "Make sure you get my good side and don't sell my picture on Ebay. My husband would be upset. We were married 22 years, divorced 9 and just got remarried!"

This fine gentleman was spotted outside Soul Kitchen. He was more on the camera shy side unlike my Atmore pal!

www.mullettrophyroom.blogspot.com is the place to go if you want to share mullet pics or enjoy the ones others shared! Check this silly-ness out.

My windows will be rolled down all day!

The weather is unbelievable today. It makes my craving for summer expand to one I often get for sushi. (That's huge if you didn't know) In case you were wondering what jams I will be blaring... I'm going to say it's WSP day for my music choice. And lucky for me, I just got the New Years show from this year and it's ready to be inserted into Reba's cd player!

Last night I talked to an oldie, but goodie, friend that I met in Breckenridge when I lived out there. AND GUESS WHAT.... He lives in Boca, Florida now and this lucky girl ( me me me me ) will be thirty minutes away from there next weekend. That makes my excitement about the little road trip even more intense.

Insert this image in your head - Miss Mallory jumping up and down, bouncing around, huge smile that looks similar a 10 year old, barefoot, and when she chills out with the insane jumping she sits down to have a bongo beat mix prepared just for you.

I hope you have a very fab Friday! I'm sure glad the weekend is here! =)

hi, friend.

It is always a splendid feeling having someone who understands the things that come out of your mouth. Those kind of someones are worth counting your lucky stars for. I think they are kind of amazing. When nearly everything I say makes perfect sense to someone, I appreciate that person for being who they are. (why nearly.. not EVERY thing? - carry on a conversation with me and try keeping up. Following and understanding EVERY thing is rare.)

wrapping up one weekend and plotting the next

Friday:
All that needs to be told-
Maliboo beat Mr. Cata in bowling.

Saturday:
Fran, a good friend of mine, had a party thrown for her on Saturday celebrating her marriage. The party was across the street from my parents house so we had a small crew gather prior to the celebration and walk over together dodging the rain drops being thrown down at us. The Check Spellinggathering was nice and it was great to see my sweet Fran. We visited the Front Porch for a little after party.

Sunday:
Sister's Restaurant lunch buffet and later that night a fishy fry with friends.

Monday:
No class for me thanks to someone having a dream a long time ago. It's a beautiful day outside. If I wasn't so scared Ziggy would get back into that disaster of a mess she found yesterday we would have been outside enjoying ourselves all day. Instead, I'm watching her snooze and listening to her snore on the couch. We have taken our outside adventures in small portions at a time today.

NEXT WEEKEND:
Head to Montgomery, Alabama to a reception for Whitney Griffin celebrating her recent marriage. What to wear, what to wear!??!!

Fish Fry.

It's Sunday and I heard something about fish and a fry daddy. Also, there is some mushy looking hush puppy wanna b's waiting to be cooked. We shall see.

Ziggy (she isn't the hush puppy I was talking about, either) decided to do everything but keep things on the hush hush side of the world today. If anything, she kept her Mama on her toes. Ziggy decided to make her mother SCREAM. And nearly throw up.(not the one who gave birth to her.... the mother who loves her and takes very good care of her) Ziggy chose to roll around in what appeared to smell and look like poop before she entered into David's home middle of this afternoon. Cool. Reminder: Alabama's weather has been more on the Michigan side this January. The outside bath that was required before she was allowed in the house was flippin' freezing. Pee.Ess. I think she even knew herself how yucky she was smelling prior to her first bath. Yes, I've had her two months and been unsuccessful at bathing her. It's not everyday that Ziggy allows hippie baths to happen. I'm just saying..... She's hard to handle!

I want to write a song... soon.

Just thought I would write a blog about my desire to write another song. Thinking of an idea worthy topic first.. Process of elimination begins. I'm a happy person and I prefer writing about happy things which makes writing a happy song VERY easy right now. Just a little

Run run as fast as you can, cant catch me I'm the year twenty ten!

Everything is happening all so fast this year. It's like the sun on my shoulders and wind in my face on a beautiful day. (Something I will never have a complaint about but never have enough hours in the day) I am blessed. I'm very excited to be able to share my happiness with others in this world. If I had a profession today I'd chose photography. So far this year, the moments I have been fortunate to have placed in my life have been ones that only pictures can capture the happiness in my eyes and make it possible to look back on. I have a good (giggly) feeling inside that each tomorrow is going to be a competition to yesterday because every day gets better. "Ain't Life Grand"

FL

My past weekend was splendid! Destin, Florida was the location. I shared it with someone very special and met some great people.

Here's some things the few days away consisted of:

*Camilles - I'll take some sushi, seawood salad and sake, please!

*Funky Blues Shack for some live music... which is always fun

*competitive game of horse shoes on the beach with not a sole in sight other than our crew.

* Alabama won a national championship and I shared the excitement for my home state

* a sweet afternoon walk

* a visit to a book store two days short of closing for good...with everything $1

* discovered someones hidden home (a tent in the woods)

* scratch off fun.. no wins made it back to Bama, sadly..

And of course, the ride to and from were filled with jams that moved my soul, talks of upcoming Jupiter visits, potty breaks every 20 miles, and smiles swapped frequently.

Question of the day....

If you were wearing a fanny pack what would you put in it?

I'm pretty sure mine would be packed full. (not so full that it wouldn't zip, though)

I'm on a lookout for one... no I take that back. I am on a mission to find several to let my friends in on the fanny pack fun! I bet if I kicked it with one for a few days in a week or so I'd see fanny packs everywhere. You would probably wonder where Minnie Mouse and Mickey were hiding... mistaking your location with disney world.
This is what would be in my fanny pack:
-camera
-eos chapstick
-credit card
-mascara
-harmonica
-cell
-bbq sunflower seeds
-scissors
-trident triple layer
-cash for scratch off's and emergencies

Dear Weatherman,

Please send some snow my way. Bammy is very cold and if I'm going to walk outside in the chilly-ness I want pretty white powder to admire. If you can help, you rock. If not, better luck next time on being the coolest cat around.

Sincerely,

Mallorina

pee. ess. - I even take out the trash when it snows. I'm not scared!

Mallory's Michigan Munchkins

Some things are just so darn cute that there is no need for words. And personally, I think Jack, Jon Harris and Allie fall under that category. You can see for yourself.....

I have this friend.....

Don't mind me while I obsess over some of her words that I find fancy....

"And the Goddess sent word that this would be a red letter year"
"I will lean into you and you can be the wind. I will open up my mouth and you can come rushing in. You can rush in so hard, make it so I can't breathe. I breathe too much anyway. I can do that anyday."
"So I walk like I'm on a mission cuz that's the way I groove. I got more and more to do, less and less to prove. It took me too long to realize that I don't take good pictures cuz I have the kind of beauty that moves."
"we get a little further from perfection each year on the road, I think that's called character, I think that's just the way it goes"
"Every song has a you. A you that the singer sings to"

Twenty-Ten, My friend!

A windy walk this afternoon with a best friend (who is preggers, by the way) was just what I needed. We talked, walked and talked some more. Girly stuff, Not so girly stuff and then some. I believe we covered a little bit of it all. Things this year are going to be different and I strongly believe it's going to be a change for the best. There's nothing wrong with treating yourself to a change is there? Especially if it is one for the better. I'm still working on my New Years resolution list. Surprise surprise, I'm running late on jotting down a few things that I want to personally improve/change/quit/start ect... What do ya know? Being on top of things in a timely order is not on my list to-be so I think it's okay that my resolutions will come a day or two after the 1st. When I get my act together this magazine I pretend to have will be the home for my resolution list. Until then, Happy New Year! Twenty-Ten sounds way to good to not look forward to what it has in store. I think it's going to be an adventurous, slam.packed.full.of.fun.year. AND this girl is ready.... strapped in with her hands in the air! I think I might even be squealing like a scared ten year old on a roller coaster that flips four times in the short two minutes the ride lasts. That is, minus the fear of course! My squeals are just a little splash of false advertisement because I am NOT scared!
